This passion project has been in the works for quite some time.

My first love of writing led me to develop what I hope will be my debut novel, “The Knights of Taria,” which sparked my pursuit of art almost a decade ago, making this series one of the most meaningful in my portfolio. My primary concern with illustration is telling a story, using my English degree to draw meaning from the works I read and create. These illustrations and their accompanying story explore themes of self-discovery and empathy, mimicking the period I went through while writing this work. These prints show my attempt to understand what it means to be an emerging adult, especially in today’s world, all the while exploring my own sexuality and values. I’ve grown a lot since my freshman year of college, when I began this story, and the novel and artwork reflect the things I’ve learned through the years.
